Employee charged

A Kenton man was charged with theft in connection with an alleged incident at the Union City convenience store where he was employed.
Christopher Michael Roberson, 29, of 300 Sanderson St., Kenton, was arrested at 11:35 a.m. Thursday and charged with theft over $1,000, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Police had responded Thursday to a claim of employee theft at Pockets Shell at 1605 West Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
According to police, manager Mike Davis alleged he found that an employee, identified as Roberson, had been giving products away to customers and to himself for about 11 months. He said the loss was well over $1,000.
