Mrs. Maidelle Turner Brundige, 90, of Martin died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Martin Health Care.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church in Martin with Kylan Mann and Houston Patrick officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery in Martin with Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Visitation will be at the church Friday at 10 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m.
Johnny Brundige, Tommy Brundige, Bill Bob, Keath Turner, Donny McWherter, Kendall Rezabek and Mickey Hicks will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Brundige, Charles McWherter, Woody Brundige and Joe Brundige.
Mrs. Brundige was born July 31, 1921, daughter of the late W. Y. “Bud” and Tave Eaves Turner. She was the widow of H. C. “Ham” Brundige, who was a former Mayor of Martin and Weakley County Executive. They were married for 62 years. She was a charter member of the Alumni Chapter of Zeta Ta Alpha at the University of Tennessee at Martin, was formerly a Girls Auxiliary Leader, Sunday school teacher and Brownie Scout Leader. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Randy (Sandy) Brundige of Martin; three daughters, Sandra (Guy) Robbins and Fran Spears (Paul) Gholson, both of Martin and Pam Batson of Mobile, Ala.; nine grandchildren, Kristi Rezabek, Marti Nonemaker, Scott Robbins, Stacey Hicks, Lindsay Simmons, Jay Batson, Andrew Hart, Carmen Brundige and Natalie Brundige; and eight great-grandchildren, Jay Nonemaker, Megan Nonemaker, Katie Bottorff, Candence Brundige, Delaney Simmons, Trinity McCoy, Sydney Robbins and Kylie Rezabek.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Turner.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
