FCCLA POWER OF ONE RECOGNITION — Students completed Power of One for state and national FCCLA recognition. Each student completed the power of one program in Family and Consumer Science class at Dresden High School this year. They completed A Better You, Working on Working, Speak Out for FCCLA, Family Ties, and Take the Lead. “The students worked all year on the various projects they chose. This is a big accomplishment as a freshman in FCCLA,” said Pat Phillips, FCCLA advisor. Students completed projects in each module that would help them improve their personal traits, get along better with family members, exploring careers, develop leadership qualities, and tell others about positive experiences in FCCLA. Students must complete all five modules to be recognized at the state and national levels. I was able to use some of my leadership skills learned in FCCLA this year and it all started with the Power of One program,” said Aleya Brent. Dresden High School students completing the Power of One FCCLA program were (front, from left) Brent, Rachel Gordon, Deshawn Barner, Ashley Bone, April Mallard, (back) Ashley Castleman, Marissa Higgins, Patricia Barnett, Alexis Cashion, Alexis Goodlow and Rachel Parnell.
