Wynridge winners good with 3-under The foursome of Kathy Barker, Sandra Davis, Jamice Hanna and Theresea Harbor combined to shoot 3-under-par and win the weekly women’s scramble at Wynridge Greens on Tuesday. A group made up of Evelyn Whitten, Charlotte Hall, Jill Emmons and Laurie Higdon won a scorecard playoff and finished second at 2-under. Also firing a 2-under-par score was the team of Janis Garrigan, Wanda Brown and Megan Dunn. The women play every Tuesday evening at the Troy course. Pop’s top team a perfect 10 Poplar Meadows Country Club held its weekly men’s scramble Wednesday with the winning team shooting 10-under par. Members of the winning team included Portis Tanner, Bedford Dunavant, Rodger Tanner, Cory Morrow, Stephen Turner and Jimmy White. Finishing in second at 7-under par was the team of Jason Dotson, Mason Storey, Justin Keathley, Lucas Flood, Will Gilliam; and the team of John Hale, Don Lyerly, Houston Haag, Mike Revell, Raymond Hendrix and Tom Elam. The scramble, which is $10 for members and $15 for non-members, includes the 9-hole event and dinner afterward.
