The following cases were disposed of April 30-May 4 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed, unless dismissal is contingent upon costs being paid or other conditions. All others are published, including judicial diversions and deferred cases, without exception.
• Maria J. Nunez — driver’s license law, to be dismissed on payment of costs.
• John W. Sowell — second offense driving under the influence, guilty of a lesser charge of first offense DUI.
• Thomas Taylor — Schedule IV controlled substance, guilty of a lesser charge of simple possession/casual exchange.
• Juan L. Aguilar — public intoxication, deferred.
• Danny Daniels Jr. — domestic assault, deferred.
• Rico Newberry — assault/attempt, deferred.
• Jeff Gann — theft (up to $500), guilty as charged.
• James O. Hubbard III — driving while license suspended, guilty as charged.
• Elizabeth S. Shute — intentionally killing an animal ($500 or less), guilty as charged.
• Melanie Smith — two counts of worthless check (up to $500), guilty as charged.
• Dakota K. Vaughn — assault/bodily injury and disorderly conduct, guilty as charged.
• Terry J. Rushing — burglary (other than habitation) and theft of property ($500-$1,000), waived to the grand jury.
• James D. Bell — driver to exercise due care, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Lataya N. Clemons — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Jeffery S. Dial — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Justin C. Elliott — window tint violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Cesar Gonzalez — driving without a license and financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Crissy J. Lyell — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Kristi K. Mathis — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Marvin Ramos — driver’s license law, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Patrick L. Smith — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Albert A. Turner — allowing an unlicensed driver to drive, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Tyler A. Williams — window tint violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
