| The Henry County Veterans Service office, in partnership with Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs, neighboring county service officers and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, will host a Veterans Outreach event from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. May 9 in the Enoch Building at the Henry County Fair Grounds. The fair grounds are located at 517 Royal Oak Drive in Paris. All veterans, dependents and survivors are encouraged to attend the veterans outreach event. Service providers attending the event include: TN Department of Veterans Affairs, TN State Veterans Home, Veterans Employment Services, Transition Assistant Advisor, Survivor Outreach Services, TN Homeless Solutions, Community Action Network, ESGR, Vet Center Counseling, Social Security Administration, Women Vets of America, American red Cross, Morning side Assisted Living, Eiffel Gardens Assisted Living, State Park-Paris Landing, First Bank, Office on Aging, Plumley Rehab Center, Wellness and Rehab, Home Health and Hospice, AMVETs Post 45, American Legion 89, VFW and many others. There will be free services provided that day, including filing claims for disability compensation, Agent Orange, veterans exposed to radiation, and non-service connected pension. There will also be information on benefits for burial at a veterans cemetery, healthcare, survivors, ex-POW and other items. Free food and refreshments will be served.
