SALSA GARDEN — The Obion County Public Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG) recently planted a “Salsa Garden” on the grounds. They planted tomatoes, peppers, onions and a variety of herbs. The group will tend to the garden throughout the summer. At the end of the summer, the library will hold a class on how to make and safely can salsa. This garden was provided by donations from Home Builders Mart, Obion County Co-op and the Friends of the Library. Among those planting the seeds were (front, from left) TAG members Cassie Fleenor, Ana McWilliams, Anna Jewell Clayton, Lexi Lunsford, Ella Virgin, Brianna Hammond, Madison Preciado, Jacob Virgin, president Brandon Fleenor, Rayanna Fleenor, Becca Robb, children’s coordinator Jenny Virgin, Anna Oliver, assistant director Jarred Clayton, assistant children’s coordinator Carolina Conner, and TAG members Macy Thompson, Seth Baker, Joey Cochran, Cody Robertson and Michaela Cochran.
