The Kentucky State Police will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout the Post 1 district — which includes Fulton County, Ky. — to check motorists for compliance with motor vehicle laws, including driving under the influence statutes.
The supervisory-approved traffic safety checkpoint locations for Fulton County include KY 94 from mile point 7 to mile point 7.5; KY 94 from mile point 1 to mile point 2; U.S. 45 from mile point 1 to mile point 2.5; U.S. 51 from mile point 3 to mile point 5.5; KY 129 at U.S. 45; KY 166 at KY 239; Moscow Street in the Hickman city limits; KY 125 and KY 94 Bypass at Hickman; KY 94 and Seventh Street in the Hickman city limits; KY 166 at KY 125; the intersection of KY 1099 and KY 94; the intersection of KY 309 and KY 1099; and KY 116 from mile point 4.7 to mile point 5.
These and other locations in other counties in the district can also be found online at www.kentuckystatepolice.org.
Drivers who encounter a traffic safety checkpoint are requested to have their operator’s license, vehicle registration receipt and proof of insurance readily accessible. Drivers with this information in hand, those with no violations of law and minimal roadway congestion can reasonably expect to be delayed no more than 30 seconds to a few minutes, according to the KSP.
