UCES Block Party set

Union City Elementary School PTO will sponsor the annual UCES Block Party Friday from 5-8 p.m. on the front lawn of the school on South Miles Avenue. Activities and fun will include giant inflatables, face painting, tricycle races and a dunking booth. There will also be raffles for gift cards and a fishing pole set; a bake sale; a chalk art contest; and an art auction.  
A fireworks finale at 7:45 will conclude the festivities.
The community is invited to attend, a spokesman said.
