Barbecue benefit set

A barbecue benefit for Betty Ferrell, the widow of Tim Ferrell, and his children will be held Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m at 4327 Mount Zion Road in Union City, just past the Titan Tire plant.
The menu will include a barbecue sandwich, a chicken half or a barbecue bologna sandwich; beans; slaw; and drink for $7. Desserts can be added for $1 each.
Donations will also be appreciated, a spokesman said. Call 446-2453  to make a donation or get directions to the site.
