The 20th Century Club met recently at the library for its April meeting. President Jay Adams called the meeting to order. The program was then turned over to Jennifer Rawls Head who spoke on Pulitzer Prize authors. She told of the interesting books we needed to read this season. It’s such a joy when we have Ms. Head with us.
The group enjoyed a wonderful party plate of nuts, cake and special treats. Thanks to Teresa Warmath and Durell Royster for beautiful decorations of fresh flowers from their gardens. Thanks also go to Edna Harris for introducing her niece Ms. Head and her grandmother.
Our president Jay Adams led us in the collect. We had 15 members present. We had a very informative business meeting and are preparing to announce our scholarship winner.
The May luncheon will be held at Greenbrier with Pam Bates in charge of arrangements along with Jay Adams.
