| | MEET AND GREET — Patrons of Community Concert Association of Union City/Obion County were invited to a meet-and-greet at the Hampton Centré with country music star Billy Dean (second from left) following his concert at the Union City Civic Auditorium Saturday night. Among those receiving his autograph were Jeannine Cranford of Union City (left), Billy Jack Cranford (second from right) and Dr. Rodger P. Lewis. Dean, who was suffering from bronchitis, promised to return in the fall for a make-up show. To the delight of those in attendance, Dean invited his friend Dan Wilkinson of Memphis — a self-taught professional banjo player with a number of Dixieland jazz recordings — to play with him. Dean’s concert wrapped up the 2011-12 concert series. Signed on for the upcoming 2012-13 series are Collin Raye on Sept. 22, Masters of Motown on Nov. 17, Papa Doo Run Run on March 9, 2013, and 42Five on April 20, 2013. | | | | |
