Marlin James Holstad, 75, of Union City died April 18, 2012, at his residence.
Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Ridgely Church of God of Prophecy, with the Revs. Clayton Mahan and Randy Miller officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was a retired general plant manager for Zenith Corp., where he worked for 40 years, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lill Holstad; two daughters and his son-in-law, Marla Holstad of Union City and Cheryl and Glen Geer of Fort Worth, Texas; his son, Robert Duke of Union City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ardis and Vernon Bang of Texas and Gwen and Lee Brown of Illinois; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Harold and Jeanie Holstad of Albert Lea, Minn., Stanley and Barb Holstad and Richard Holstad, all of Lake Mills, Iowa, and Eldren and Janelle Holstad of Spencer, Iowa; and two grandchildren, Jason Duke and Gerard Geer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Duke; and his parents, Morris and Alice (Brunsvold) Holstad.
