Mary Virginia (Morrison) Wilson, 85, of Union City died April 18, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Obion County Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating.
Pallbearers are to be David Evans, Russell Evans, Shane Cole, Scott Northam, Dennis Johnston, Bobby Chappell and Terry Taylor.
She was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Orvin and Lola (Brown) Morrison. She married Calvin N. “Jack” Wilson Dec. 15, 1944. He died July 16, 1992. She worked for Bellsouth Telephone Co. for about 30 years. She was a member of Union City First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Bellsouth Pioneers and the 39’ers Women’s Group and the Woman’s Missionary Union, both at Union City First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Evans of Memphis; her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Janice Wilson of Union City; four grandsons, Master Sgt. Steven N. Wilson of the United States Air Force, Russell Evans and David Evans, both of Memphis, and Shane Cole of Troy; her granddaughter, Donna Northam of Union City; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Morrison of Martin and Dean Morrison of the McConnell community; her sister, Judy Hazelwood of the Chestnut Glade community; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Morrison and Herbert Morrison.
