The run came in the eighth inning. UTM then dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Arkansas on Saturday. The Razorbacks won the opener 6-4 and the second game 4-2. Erica Duke was 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Lauren Smith was 3-for-4 with two ribbies for the Skyhawks in Saturday’s opener. Jenny Bain’s two-run homer in the first inning accounted for UT Martin’s run in the second game. UTM is 30-15 overall and 18-3 in the OVC. Skyhawks win once vs. Jacksonville St. UT Martin scored five runs in the second inning to win the second game of a three-game set with Jacksonville State in OVC play at Skyhawk Field over the weekend. UTM’s 7-4 win on Saturday was sandwiched by losses of 13-10 Friday and 14-8 Sunday. Chase Okey was 2-for-3 with three runs and four RBI, getting his fourth double of the season, in Saturday’s win. Ben Campbell was 2-for-5 with a double, driving in three runs and scoring twice, and Matt Young was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs. Grant Glasser and Nico Zych each had three hits and Campbell, Young and Jordan Owen all had two hits on Friday. Young had three hits, and Glasser, Okey, Owen, Zych and Sonny Mastromatteo all had two hits for UTM on Sunday. The Skyhawks are now 10-25 overall and 4-8 in the conference. Reinhard’s hat trick leads Westview win Westview rolled on to another soccer win last week. The Chargers claimed a 5-1 decision over McKenzie, improving to 4-2-1. In Thursday’s match, Adam Reinhard scored three goals and Scout Edwards recorded five saves to lead the chargers past McKenzie.
