Maxey family hosts reunion

Descendants of Myrle Harrison Maxey, born in 1883, and Jim Maxey, born in 1884, gathered recently in Franklin to renew their family ties.
Mr. and Mrs. Maxey had two children,  twins Hazel and Herschel, born in 1910.
Hazel Maxey married Hilary Crofford and Herschel Maxey married Freddie Foy.
Attending the reunion were: Dan and Mildred Crofford of Dresden; Danna Crofford Kelley, Stan and Taylor of Alpharetta, Ga.; Amy Crofford Hargrove, Sam and Nate of Ringgold, Ga.;
Ralph Crofford and Mary O’Brien, both  of Nashville; Marcia Crofford Sloan, Jay and Hilary of Nashville; Sue Ellen Maxey Cottingham Lamb and Danny of Franklin; and Courtney Cottingham McCormack and Greg of Nashville.
Additional family members who were unable to attend the event were Joseph Sloan and Cameron Cottingham, Laura and Adri all of Nashville. Published in The WCP 4.17.12
