ADK members attend 42nd State Convention Posted: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 8:00 pm Pickwick Landing State Park served as the site for the 42nd State Convention of the Tennessee Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teacher’s Organization, March 23-25. The theme of the event was “Southern Hospitali-TEA. The Tennessee Omicron Chapter, represented by president Katana Hawks and Betty Nan Carroll, past state and international president, along with friends at the convention, hosted the convention’s reception. A beautiful table, covered with vegetable and fruit trays and trays of cookies, served 144 members and guests at the event. Coffee and lemonade were also served. The convention recognized past state and local presidents, as well as 2012-14 state officers and local presidents. Plans were made for the Southeast Regional Convention to be held in Williamsburg, Va., in July. Old friends were reunited and new friends made, while everyone enjoyed sites of the historic setting around Pickwick. Published in The WCP 4.17.12 |
