Wilma (Lasater) Weaver, 80, of Union City died 9 p.m. April 13, 2012, at the Obion County Nursing Home.
Services were 4 p.m. Sunday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Revs. Jerry Leggett and Rick Burton officiated. Burial followed in Stanley’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Holman, Bryce Harris, David Lusk, Jeff Chambers, Cyril Harris, Kevin Lasater, Ronnie Hensley and Mark Ward.
Honorary pallbearers were Dale Burress, Alvis Daniel, Cress Harris, Zach Hensley and Allen Edmaiston.
Mrs. Weaver was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Obion County, daughter of the late William Marvin and Verdie Helen (Crocker) Lasater. She married Billie C. Weaver Dec. 27, 1947. He died Aug. 15, 2005. She had been employed as an inspector at the former Salant & Salant in Union City and had been a product demonstrator for several companies at Walmart, E.W. James & Sons and the former Kroger in Union City. She was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Cyril Harris of Union City and Kaye and Ross Daniel of Smyrna; her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Tammy Weaver of Union City; her sister, Thelma Allen of Savannah; six grandchildren, Amanda Chambers, John Holman, Jennifer Lusk, Bryce Harris and Krysten Harris, all of Union City, and Stephanie Weaver of Atlanta; and two great-grandchildren, Riley Kade Chambers and William Blaine Lusk, both of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Aletha Evanson, Lennie Jimmerson and Mildred Matheney; and three brothers, Delmar Lasater, Omer Burress and Bob Lasater.
