Tommie Chester Miller, 58, of the Shawtown community died 7 p.m. April 14, 2012, at his home.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Living Word Church in Hornbeak, with the Rev. Archie Larry officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Miller, Lance Reynolds, Dalton Edmaiston, Cotton Brewer, Kenny Stoll and Jody Johnson.
He was born  April 12, 1954, in Garden City, Mich., son of the late Charles Franklin Miller and the late Ila Pearl (Ogden) Whaley. He was an auto mechanic and he attended Living Word Church.
He is survived by his sister, Linda June Miller of Monroe, Mich.; his stepmother, Velma Miller of Garden City; two nephews and their wives, Bryan and Stacey Miller of Shawtown and Lance and Marty Reynolds of Troy; and two nieces, Christy Edmaiston of Troy and Beth Landau of Redford, Mich.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Floyd Whaley; his brother, Charles R. Miller Jr.; his sister, Debbie Reynolds; and his grandparents, Chester and Opal Ogden.
