Margaret Manley Posted: Friday, April 13, 2012 1:07 pm The Messenger, April 13, 2012 Margaret (Chappell) Manley, 85, of Union City died April. 12, 2012, at her home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion, with Dan Huggins officiating. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to Exchange Street Church of Christ. She was born Oct. 17, 1926, in Humphreys County, daughter of the late J.D. and Lily Margaret (Pruett) Chappell. She married Glen E. Manley May 11, 1947. He died April 5, 1995. She was a retired employee of the Union City School System, where she worked for more than 25 years, and was a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ. She is survived by three sisters, Ruth Chumley of Union City, Gladys Floyd of Caruthersville, Mo., and Mary Lou Goodale of Fayetteville, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
