Mrs. Geraldine McClain Damron, 95, of Martin died Friday, April 6, 2012, at her residence.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at East Side Cemetery with Bro. Eddie Hutchens officiating and Murphy Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Jimmy Damron, Gary Don Damron, Bobby Damron, Clint Damron, Casey Oliver, Marty Townes, David Boucher and Jim Lovett served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Sammy Damron, Josh Damron, Steve Damron, Jerry Damron, Zach Damron, Ty Lovett, Thedore Wilbanks, Richard Kelly, Jasper Edwards, Teddy VanDeveer Jr., George Pritchett and James Pritchett.
Mrs. Damron was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Sam A. and Mary Emma Taylor McClain. She was the widow of Charlie Damron. She was retired from Martin Manufacturing Company and Weakley County Nursing Home and a member of Ralston Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Larry (Carol) Damron, and Joe (Diane) Damron, both of Martin; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Damron; one brother, Arden McClain; two sisters, Lozetta Insco and Annie Wilbanks; and one great-grandson.
