The deadline for the Obion County Fair catalog cover art competition is near. It’s April 20.
Two-dimensional media will be accepted, including paintings, drawings, collages, photographs, tapestry and computer generated art in vertical, horizontal or square formats. Entries should be no larger than 8 1⁄2-inches by 11-inches. The subject should be related to the Obion County Fair experience and should be suitable for use on the fair book cover, as well as on T-shirts, posters and in advertisements.
Text regarding the Obion County Fair name, time and place should not be included in the art work. The cover designer will incorporate this information. Artists may sign their work.
Entries should not be framed and slides will not be accepted.
Each entry must be submitted with a completed, signed entry form. Collaborative efforts will be accepted; however, all collaborators must sign the release on the entry form. No entries will be returned.
A qualified panel will select the winning entry. All decisions are final. The winning entry will become the property of the Obion County Fair Association Inc.
The winning artist will receive a check for $50.
Entries may be submitted by email to email@example.com; by mail at Obion County Fair, P.O. Box 126 Union City, TN 38261; or dropped off at the Obion County University of Tennessee Extension Office, located at 302 South Third St. in Union City.
