The UT Martin tennis team picked up its sixth win in as many tries in Ohio Valley Conference play Friday by downing Morehead State 6-1, but then came up just short against Eastern Kentucky Saturday in falling 4-3 in a matchup of the two best teams in the Ohio Valley Conference, both matches played at Skyhawk Varsity Courts.
The Skyhawks are now 7-9 with a 6-1 OVC slate.

Against Morehead, the Skyhawks then emerged victorious in five of the six singles matches. Tiley won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1, while Simic earned a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 4.
