Shirley Luker Posted: Wednesday, April 11, 2012 3:46 pm The Messenger, April 11, 2012 Completed arrangements are being announced for Shirley Ann (Council) Luker, 59, of Union City, who died 10:35 p.m. April 9, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Edmaiston-Mos-ley Funeral Home. The Rev. Tony Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be James Luker, Terry Council, Eu-gene Edmaiston, Scott Muse, Jesse Muse and Jeff Lowrance. Honorary pallbearer will be Norman Sutton. Mrs. Luker was born Aug. 8, 1952, in Obion County, daughter of Camilla Jean (Ams) Council of the Crystal community and the late Vollie Junior Council. She married James Homer Luker Oct. 15, 1971. He survives. She was a homemaker and attended Mt. Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy. She is also survived by her son, James Vollie Luker of Union City; four daughters, Nyanza Dawn Luker, Santana Hope Luker and Jessica Anne Luker, all of Union City, and Pamela Kathleen Luker of Kenton; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Carolyn Tidwell of Troy, Joyce and Gene Baggett and Rosanna Bow-man, all of the Crystal community, and Vollie and Ray Boehms of Troy; four grandchildren, Santana Lu-ker and Jessica Luker, both of Union City, and Kadys Luker and Brooke Bridges, both of Kenton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
