Training rocket found

KINGSPORT (AP) — A Kingsport man, sorting through items he bought from a storage locker, has found a bazooka training rocket.
The man called police, who cordoned off an area in his neighborhood and evacuated several homes for a time Thursday afternoon.
An ordnance disposal unit from Fort Campbell was called in.
The Kingsport Times-News quoted Kingsport Police Department bomb squad technician Mark Johnson, who said there was no explosive in the device, which was labeled as a training rocket. However, Johnson said the 3.5-inch-diameter rocket contained fuel and could have possibly gone through a concrete block wall.
