Letter to the WCP Editor – 4.05.12

To the Editor,
I am writing in response to a full-page advertisement that was published in the Thursday, March 29, 2012, edition of The Weakley County Press. I have never written a letter to the editor, but I have a very strong opinion on this subject that I feel the readers need to be aware of.
My mother has been a resident of Martin Heath Care for the past eight years. During this time, she has had multiple issues that have required daily care. I was totally appalled by the advertisement that I saw on Thursday. During the past eight years, my mother has had nothing but exceptional care from the employees of Martin Health Care, including CNA’s, nurses, dietary, laundry, housekeeping, physical therapy and the administrator.
I visit my mother normally four to five times per week and usually stay one-half to three hours at a time. I have never seen any resident treated with nothing but the utmost care and respect. The staff of Martin Health Care loves my mother and my mother loves them.
I feel I must come to the defense of the employees of Martin Health Care in this respect and I feel nothing but the utmost gratitude for the way my mother has been taken care of by the employees. For this reason, no one should feel that their loved one has had, or will receive, nothing but exceptional care from the employees of Martin Health Care.
