DES ANNOUNCES CITIZENS OF THE MONTH — Dresden Elementary School named its Citizens of the Month for March. This program is sponsored by the Dresden Pilot Club and Woodmen of the World Lodge 291. Each student is selected by his or her teacher. These students are then recognized at an elementary assembly where they receive an American flag, pin and Citizen of the Month certificate. Dresden Police Chief Randall Walker was last month’s guest speaker. Citizen of the Month students and program guests pictured (in random order) included Walker; David Spencer, Woodmen of the World Lodge 291 sponsor; kindergarten – Alexander Cravens, Nolie Gallimore, Layla Lovell, Emily Greer, Carter Cooper; first grade – Taya Sams, Hannah Swatzell, Ezekial Hickman, Izzy Burkett, Cole Monroe, Bella Bone; second grade – Lauren Jones, Jacey McClure, Paige Mallon, Damion North, Nolan Pittman, Jesse Randolph; third grade – Cassidy Melton, Kellie Warren, Derek Kimmons, Chase Williams, Baleigh Brackett; and fourth grade – Taylor Jones, Georgia Novotny, Jeremiah Dean, Wes Sawyer, Ryleigh Warren, Julia Sawyers and Kaitlyn Rook.
