Sabrina LaShaun Dean, 36, of Union City died March 13, 2012, at her home.
Services were 2 p.m. March 17 at Brown Chapel AME Church, with the Rev. Clay Holliday officiating. Interment followed in East View Cemetery, with Rawls Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Thomas Dysart, Larry Hobbs, DeWayne Goodman, Tyrone Watson, DeMarlo Freeman and Fred Pirtle.
She was born Jan. 14, 1976, in Union City, daughter of Katie L. Arnold of Union City and the late Bobby Dewayne Barnette of Hickman, Ky.
A 1994 graduate of Union City High School, Mrs. Dean was an active member of Brown Chapel AME Church and had worked as a cook at Huddle House and in the dietary department at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Mrs. Dean was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She had touched many lives and created many friendships and she will be sadly missed.
She is also survived by her husband, Craig Dean; her daughter, Katelyn Dean of Union City; eight sisters, Tammy Dukes of Nashville, Melissa Robinson, Cynthia Arnold and Katrina Alexander, all of Union City, Angie Smith of Hickman and Denise Armstrong, Theresa McMullins and Charlene Harris, all of Bradford; three brothers, Fred Scates of Union City, Undre Arnold of Bradford and Tyrell Arnold of Cleveland, Ohio; her grandmother, Gladys Barnette of Hickman; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mrs. Dean was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Lizzie Mae Dukes; two grandfathers, Aaron Dukes and Willie Marshall Barnette; and her stepfather, Richard Arnold.
