Zach Buckland has opened Smith & Buckland Brokerage Services at 303 South Third St. with his grandfather, Richard Smith. Buckland is a registered representative of Silver Oaks Securities Inc. and offers clients a full range of financial services, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, unit trusts, CDs, fix and variable annuities, IRAs, 401Ks, SEPs, simple IRAs, pension and profit sharing plans and investment advisory services. Buckland holds a series 7 and series 66 securities license and is also licensed as a health insurance agent. Buckland is qualified to advise clients on such insurance coverages as term insurance, universal life, whole life, disability coverage, major medical, Medicare supplements, Part D Medicare prescription coverage, group life and health insurance, fixed and index annuities. He also offers tax preparation and bookkeeping services through Hollomon & Dalton CPAs in Union City. Buckland is a graduate of Obion County Central High School and the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he received a degree in accounting and his masters in business administration degree. Smith has more than 30 years of experience in financial planning, in the securities and insurance fields. He owned and operated offices in Union City and Paris. Smith spent more than 35 years as a branch manager and registered principal with Raymond James Financial Services Inc. and worked for 10 years as managing director for PMB Investment Group LLC.
