Judge ends Lohan’s probation

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge has ended Lindsay Lohan’s probation and given back her freedom.
Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner on Thursday ended the actress’ probation on a 2007 drunken driving case, eliminating the need for Lohan to appear in court or report to a probation officer.
The 25-year-old actress remains on informal probation for taking a $2,500 necklace without permission last year, but the immediate threat of jail or further punishment is over for the starlet.
She has struggled for 41⁄2 years to put her two drunken driving arrests behind her, and has been under constant scrutiny since she missed a court hearing in May 2010.
Sautner says Lohan has done everything that she has asked of the actress since late last year.
