Holy Week services set

The annual Holy Week luncheon services sponsored by the Obion County Ministerial Association will be held at Union City First Baptist Church family life center Monday through April 6.
Serving for the luncheon will begin at 11:45 each day and the meal and program will conclude by 1 p.m. Donations to cover the cost of the meal will be accepted.
On Monday, the host pastor, Dr. Cecil Sewell, will be the speaker. The Rev. Darrell Turner of Mt. Zion CME Church will deliver the message Tuesday. The Rev. Paul Sternisha of Union City First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will address the group Wednesday. The Rev. Judd Mowery of Troy United Methodist Church will lead the group in its focus on the last day’s of Jesus’ ministry on earth Thursday and the Rev. Jerry Leggett of Union City Second Baptist Church will provide the final day’s remarks on April 6.
The community is invited to take part in this important time of fellowship and reflection as the celebration of Easter draws near, a spokesman said.
