There will be a Full Tennessee Wrestling benefit for 3-year-old Kaitlyn Climer on April 7 at Rocky Top Arena, located at 1020 West Main St. in Newbern. Bell time for the eight exciting matches featuring local favorite FTW superstars will be 7 p.m.
Tickets will be $6 at the door.
Kaitlyn was born with her trachea and esophagus fused and underwent surgery which also revealed that her heart had slipped out of position. In addition, she suffered a puncture to her esophagus and was confined to the hospital for eight months. During that time, she had stomach surgery and suffered several serious infections, including H1 flu.
It is necessary for her to be on a breathing machine at night and insurance does not pay for the tubes needed to keep her trachea clear. The fund raiser will be to assist her family with bills associated with her illness.
