Win streak at 5 for Red Devilettes South Fulton won its fifth straight softball game Wednesday in a 7-1 victory over Milan. The contest was a late addition to the Devilette schedule and Milan will return the game on April 13 at SF. Haley McKinney fanned seven and allowed just three hits in picking up her second pitching win in three decisions for South Fulton on Wednesday. The only run scored against her was unearned. Tennessee State Uni-versity signee Kacie Daugherty had two hits, stole four bases and drove in a run to pace the Devilettes offensively. Savannah Larson doubled, tripled and had an RBI, while McKinney helped herself with a hit and a ribbie. South Fulton will play at Trenton today, then in the Waverly Diamond Classic at Dickson on Friday and Saturday. Local tennis program will begin in April The Civitan Club will be starting its summer tennis program in April. Registration will be 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Middle School Courts. Memphis adds year to Pastner’s deal MEMPHIS (AP) — The University of Memphis has extended the contract of basketball coach Josh Pastner by one year, carrying him through the 2017 season. Financial terms were not released when the school announced the extension. Pastner’s team went 26-9 this past season, won its second straight Conference USA tourney title and played in the NCAA West Regional, losing in the second round to St. Louis.
