Pete Belcher Posted: Thursday, March 29, 2012 4:52 pm The Messenger, March 29, 2012 George Theauthor “Pete” Belcher, 77, of South Fulton, died 1:30 a.m. March 26, 2012, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton. There will be no visitation or services. Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ohio. He had retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City, where he was a tire inspector, in 2000. He had moved to this area in 1973 from Akron, Ohio. He is survived by his son, George Wesley Belcher of Akron; two daughters, Marla Kaye Tucker of Akron and Renee Ann Rice of Norton, Ohio; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rose Scott, Shirley Russell and Dorothy Kellum, all of New Comerstown, Ohio, and Debra Belcher of Akron; and a very special dear friend, Penny Hawkins of Rutherford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vina (Mitchell) and Charles James Belcher; his brother, Edward James Belcher; and his grandchild, Devin George Anthony Reddick.
