Union City police are investigating the theft of jewelry, antique coins and other items during a break-in at James L. Rippy’s home at 725 East Church St.
The incident was reported Sunday by Rippy, who told police he returned home to discover his house had been burglarized and several items were missing, according to a Union City Police Department report.
The break-in occurred sometime between Thursday and Sunday and involved forcible entry, police reported.
The items stolen from the home include a handgun, video game system, camera, various antique coins, loose change, assorted costume jewelry and a significant amount of jewelry that includes diamond, pearl and gold pieces.
