Bike run slated

April Fools Bike Run and Benefit, in memory of Scott Crackel, will be Saturday, beginning at Dot’s Pub and Grub in Union City at noon with sign-up. Kickstands will go up at 1.
There will be a raffle, a 50/50 drawing, an auction and T-shirts for sale.
The first stop on the run will be at Shenanigans, with the second at D&J’s in Obion, the third at 22 Club, the fourth at Bottom’s Up and the fifth at Dot’s Pub and Grub. Barbecue plates will be available there and there will be karaoke at 9. All proceeds will go toward funeral expenses for Crackel, who died Dec. 4, 2011, of complications of liver failure. He had no insurance and family and friends are raising money to pay funeral costs. He had participated in several runs over the years and had been employed in Union City.
