| The American Cancer Society is issuing an on-call for community members age 30-65 to participate in a long-term cancer study to help with research efforts. Linda Ramsey of Martin, local team leader responsible for rallying ‘Champions’ to enlist friends and family members to participate in the cancer research study, shared information with a group of volunteers during a luncheon held Tuesday at La Cabana in Martin. This study, the third performed by the ACS, consists of a one-time blood draw and a survey conducted every three to five years of with participants.
