Westview splits with SF; Dresden held scoreless

South Fulton was a nemesis to a pair of Weakley County softball teams this week.
The tradition-rich Red Devilettes put up a 9-0 shutout win over Dresden on Wednesday following a split with Westview on Tuesday where Westview won 4-0 in the opener and then lost 13-1 in the nightcap.
Both local team have two games on the schedule to close this week before taking off for Spring Break.
The Lady Chargers are set to host Crockett County today at 5 p.m. and Gibson County Friday at 4:30. Dresden is on the road twice, at McKenzie today and Bradford Friday with both games at 4:30.

Meagan Prince tossed a one-hitter, striking out 15, to lead the Lady Chargers in the opener on Tuesday.
Prince helped herself at the plate, going 2-for-3, while Kayla Guthrie and Holly Morris were also 2-for-3, Guthrie with an RBI and a run and Morris with a run.
Alex Hughey doubled, and Alex Crosser drove in a pair of runs for Westview.
Haley McKinney had the only hit for SF.
Westview scored twice in the second inning and once in both the first and fifth frames.

McKinney and the Devilettes made up for their lack of offense in the first game by piling up the hits and runs in the second game.
McKinney was 4-for-4 with three RBI, while Savannah Larson and Kacie Daugherty had three hits each, Larson driving in three runs.
Sara Reams was 2-for-with a pair of RBI for the Devilettes.
Westview had just four hits, and Guthrie scored the Lady Chargers’ only run.

Marina Barclay, Macey Maxwell, Desiray Sturgeon and Aalia Bivens all had two hits for SF.
McKinney, the winning pitcher, drove in three runs, and Larson knocked in two runs for the Devilettes.
