Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A Friday evening traffic stop has led to the arrest of 22-year-old Ricky Booker.
According to an incident report, Martin Police officers noticed Booker driving on Hyndsver Road Friday evening. Officers noted Booker was driving on a revoked license for habitual DUI offenses. Upon searching Booker, officers reportedly detected the odor of “raw” marijuana.
Officers allegedly found two plastic bags containing green, plant-like material believed to be marijuana in Booker’s shoe.
He was taken into custody and charged with possession of Schedule VI with intent.
According to the report, the amount of suspected marijuana found weighed approximately 26 grams.
