|Participants in the Bettie Graham Special Education Seminar at the University of Tennessee at Martin, March 29 can earn .4 Continuing Education Units. |
The College of Education, Health and Behavioral Sciences will offer the seminar from 4 p.m.-8 p.m., in room 206 of the Boling University Center, with presenter, Catherine Barnes, director of Silver Circles, Inc.
The seminar will be divided into two sessions, the first will cover symptoms of Scotopic Sensitivity Irlen Syndrome and how these symptoms affect children. The second session will cover strategies for working with children diagnosed with Scotopic Sensitivity Irlen Syndrome. Silver Circle, Inc. provides services and programs for students who require academic intervention. The fee for the CEUs is $10, and forms for requesting credit will be available at the seminar. Hors d’oeuvres will also be served during the event.
