Letter to the WCP Editor – 3.20.12

To the Editor,
After reading the two articles in the “Opinions” section of the March 8 issue, I felt compelled to respond. I was indeed surprised that articles of this nature would even appear in our local newspaper. These articles are as far left as you can get.
The authors of the article, “Contraception and quality of life,” have fallen victims of the liberal media and entirely missed the crucial issue.
Before Obama entered office, he had to solemnly swear to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
The crucial issue is not contraception as these obviously liberal ladies, the president and our liberal media would like us to believe, but rather that Obama is neglecting to uphold the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, which is “…Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof …” This is not an issue of womens’ rights.
The second article I would like to address is titled “Health care law helps young adults.” How absolutely absurd.
The Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) is also infringing on our constitutional rights.
The liberal media would like us to believe this law will help women, when in actuality, it will limit the use of expensive cancer treatment drugs, lengthen the allowed time between mammograms and lead our country to financial ruin because it is unsustainable.
