Aspiring designers and artists could have their work printed on T-shirts and bags that will be sold at the 2012 Soybean Festival in Martin. The University of Tennessee at Martin Interfaith Center is sponsoring a fundraiser design competition open to all creatives.
A panel of three local artists will judge submitted designs that must be Christian-themed. The winning design will be printed on the Interfaith Center’s T-shirts and cloth bags to be sold at the Soybean Festival in the fall.
The winning designer will also receive a prize of $150. Submissions will be on display in the Interfaith Center from April 16-20.
UT Martin students are asked to make a $20 donation for entries and non-student competitors are asked to make a $50 donation.
The deadline for submissions is 10 p.m. April 12. Designs may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or delivered to the Interfaith Center at 312 Lovelace Ave. in Martin. Designs on CDs are also accepted.
