Martha Jeanette Bruns-wick, 85, of Hickman, Ky., passed away at 11:45 a.m. March 18, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at West Baptist Church in Hickman, with the Revs. Henry Callison and Jason Sipes officiating. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 this evening and will continue from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the church. Milner & Orr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to West Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 1003 Broadway, Hickman, KY 42050.
Mrs. Brunswick was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Fulton County in Kentucky and was the owner and operator of the former Martha’s Downtown Restaurant for many years. She had also worked with her husband at Three Rivers Rock Co. in Smithland, Ky.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda F. and Pete Holcombe of Union City, Nancy Ann Kunselman of Houston and Sandra and Richard Miller of Memphis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Lisa McCollum of Boaz, Ky., and Joe Mack and Robin Brunswick of Hickman; three stepchildren and their spouses, Janet and Donald Baggett and Gene Brunswick, all of Union City, and Bobby and Bonnie Brunswick of Woodland Mills; two brothers, Larry Haney and Lawrence Haney; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Edward V. “Red” Brunswick; her daughter, Martha Jean Forsythe; her stepdaughter, Anna Mae Ford; her sister, Meta Griffith; her brother, Charley Mack Haney; her granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Forsythe; her grandson, Bobby Dale Forsythe; and her parents, John and Margaret (Everett) Haney.
