|Store clerks charged with illegal sales |

Three convenience store clerks in Union City were charged with selling alcohol to a minor after officers with the Union City Police Department conducted compliance checks over the weekend.
According to reports filed at the department, a person younger than 21 who was working with the police department was allegedly able to purchase a six-pack of beer at each of the offending convenience stores. The clerks were cited with unlawful sale of alcohol and had court dates set in Obion County General Sessions Court today.
Among those being charged were:
• Gina Ann Williams, 48, of 806 East Florida Ave., Union City, a clerk at Raceway, located at 1602 West Reelfoot Ave.;
• Joshua Mark Craddock, 23, of 1295 Windcrest Drive, Union City, a clerk at Pockets, located at 1605 West Reelfoot Ave.;
• Peggy Ann Sawyers, 61, of 8157 Wolf Creek Road, South Fulton, a clerk at Sudden Service, located at 1005 North Clover St.
