HS registration set

Miles Head Start/Early Head Start, located at 1015 East College St., is accepting applications for the 2012-13 program. Registration will be March 26 and 27 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and March 28-29 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the facility.
Two free preschool programs are open for registration. Pregnant women and those with children from 6 weeks -30 months old may register for the Early Head Start program. Parents whose children will be 3 or 4 years old on or before Sept. 30 may register for the Head Start program. Services are provided for children with disabilities.
Parents who are unable to attend but hope to have their children included in either program are asked to call 885-1533 to make arrangements to complete applications, according to a spokesman.

Parents are asked to bring with them the child’s birth certificate or proof of the child’s birth. They are also asked to provide copies of TennCare and/or insurance cards and proof of income, Social Security numbers for each family member and the names and phone numbers of at least three emergency contact people.
