Completed arrangements are being announced for Joe Louis Williams, 59, of Clinton, Ky., who died March 14, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky. He was a former resident of Fulton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in South Fulton, with the Rev. Marvin Mercer Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton.
Friends may call at Rawls Funeral Home in South Fulton 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
He was born Jan. 28, 1953, in Cayce, Ky., and was married to Doris Williams, who survives. He attend school in Cayce and Hickman, Ky., and also attended Kentucky State University. He had worked as a supervisor for Sherwin-Williams, Dura and InStill Wire for several years. He was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the trustee committee and was part of the Men’s Sunday School Class.
Survivors also include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jewel Thomas and Connie Johnson of El Paso, Texas, and Frank Thomas Jr. and Ruby Jean Thomas of South Fulton; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Gloria Crume of Detroit; his sister-in-law, Vernell Johnson of South Fulton; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son and two brothers.
