James Edward Turnbow

James Edward Turnbow, 63, of Martin died Monday, March 12, 2012, at Regional Hospital in Jackson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Pentecostal Church in Greenfield with Wendall Jellison officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery in Martin with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be from 5-8 tonight (Thursday) at the funeral home.
Jack Pflueger Jr., Dalton Turnbow, Casey Bills, Calvin Capps, David Gingras, Charlie Broadfoot and George Broadfoot Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Vowell, Larry Carrington, Larry Daily and Roy Collier.
Turnbow was born June 22, 1948, in Martin, son of the late James W. Turnbow and Eloise Richmond Dycus. He was retired from Vowell & Sons in Martin and a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Greenfield.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shirley Parker Turnbow of Martin; one son, Brian Turnbow of Martin; two daughters, Michelle Lynn Pflueger of Dresden and Melissa Gail Kilpatrick of Martin; four brothers, Kenny Turnbow, Bobby Turnbow and Steve Turnbow, all of Martin and Glenn Richmond of Greenfield; four sisters, Barbara Collier and Susan Pollard, both of Martin, Sandy Frazier of Paris and Brenda Watson of Atwood; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Jack Albert Pflueger Sr.; one brother, William Lee Turnbow; and one sister, Jeanna Jackson.
