| | Two men suspected of involvement in an alleged home invasion Monday morning have been charged.
According to affidavits, 48-year-old Dwayne “DC” Edwards of 605 North McCombs St. in Martin and 44-year-old Antonio Hogard of 149 Hynsdver Road of Martin were taken into custody after a victim on Walters Street in Martin reported to the Martin Police Department two black males had entered his home early Monday morning.
The two men reportedly assaulted the victim before taking his wallet and fleeing the scene.
MPD officers, along with the 27th Judicial District Special Response Team attempted to execute warrants against the two men and were successful in taking both into custody Monday afternoon.
At the time of an issued press release by the MPD, charges were pending in the incident.
Edwards and Hogard have been charged aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, assault and theft of property.
They are being housed in the Weakley County Detention Center. WCP 3.15.12 | | | | |
