More than 200 children in northwest Tennessee are placed in state custody, many times through no fault of their own, a spokesman for the Department of Children’s Services says.
These children need safe and nurturing places to stay during these times and resource parents are being sought.
Those interested in providing safe and nurturing homes for these children are invited to attend upcoming PATH training classes at the Obion County Public Library, located at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City at 6:30 p.m. March 22. For more information, call Amanda Warren, kinship coordinator/recruiter at the department at 364-3149, ext. 122.
