Drug charge filed

A teenaged middle school student was charged with a drug offense after allegedly being in possession of marijuana at school.
The 13-year-old Union City boy was arrested at 9:30 a.m. March 2 at Union City Middle School, located at 1111 High School Drive, and charged with possession of marijuana through juvenile court, according to a Union City Police Department report released today.
Police reported the teenager was found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana at school.
The juvenile’s name was not disclosed by police.
